The main argument of this paper is that Joe Biden, as the 46th President of the United States, offers a new definition of the national role, which is different from Trump's definition. This national role is made up of elements and ideas that are necessary to understand US foreign policy toward other states, including how to deal with Iran. So, the main question of this paper is “what is the new national role that Biden defines for American identity? What are the most important elements that constitute this new national role? and According to these elements, what can we expect from Biden's administration's foreign policy orientation towards Iran? The research findings show that according to the new perception, the most important national role defined by Biden for the United States is: “respected and moral leadership”, a role that has been severely damaged by Trump's isolationist policies and the most important elements that constitute this new national role are: strengthening alliances, especially with Europeans, emphasizing public opinion satisfaction, using all US capabilities in the form of smart power, selective engagement, multilateralism and institutionalism, liberal internationalism, and diplomacy. This article is a descriptive-analytical article using case theory and the method of data collection is based on the existing literature and virtual data.}, keywords = {Foreign Policy,National Role,Respected leadership,Biden,Iran}, title_fa = {چشم‎انداز نقش ملی و سیاست خارجی بایدن درقبال ایران}, abstract_fa = {این مقاله بر مفهوم نقش ملی که به عنوان ادراک سیاست گذاران خارجی از جایگاه ملت های خود در نظام بین الملل تعریفمی شود، تمرکز دارد. بحث اصلی این مقاله این است که جو بایدن به عنوان چهل و ششمین رئیس جمهور آمریکا تعریف جدیدی از نقش ملی ارائه می دهد که با تعریف ترامپ متفاوت است. این نقش ملی متشکل از عناصر و ایده هایی است کهبرای درک سیاست خارجی آمریکا در قبال سایر کشورها از جمله نحوه برخورد با ایران ضروری است. بنابراین، سؤال اصلی این مقاله این است که «نقش ملی جدیدی که بایدن برای هویت آمریکایی تعریف می‌کند چیست؟مهمترین عناصر تشکیل دهنده این نقش جدید ملی چیست؟ و با توجه به این عناصر، از جهت گیری سیاست خارجی دولت بایدن در قبال ایران چه انتظاری می توان داشت؟یافته های تحقیق نشان می دهد که بر اساس برداشت جدید، مهمترین نقش ملی که بایدن برای ایالات متحده تعریف کرده است،«رهبری محترمانه و اخلاقی» است، نقشی که به دلیل سیاست های انزواطلبانه ترامپ و مهمترین عناصر تشکیل دهنده آن به شدت آسیب دیده است. این نقش ملی جدید عبارتند از: تقویت اتحادها به ویژه با اروپایی ها، تأکید بر رضایت افکار عمومی، استفاده از همه توانمندی های آمریکا در قالب قدرت هوشمند، تعامل گزینشی، چندجانبه گرایی و نهادگرایی، بین المللی گرایی لیبرال و دیپلماسی. این مقاله یک مقاله توصیفی-تحلیلی با استفاده از نظریه موردی است و روش گردآوری داده ها بر اساس ادبیات موجود و داده های مجازی است. }, keywords_fa = {سیاست خارجی,نقش ملی,رهبری مورد احترام,بایدن,ایران}, url = {https://irfajournal.csr.ir/article_145364.html}, eprint = {https://irfajournal.csr.ir/article_145364_0a7dd20d2e0de9349887c208c5b300f1.pdf} }
